Splunk is a global leader in unified security and observability, providing end-to-end data visibility across multicloud, hybrid, and edge technology landscapes. Historically facing a tough battle with a major competitor, Splunk made an acquisition which put them ahead of the game. Following this, they needed support building awareness around its newly expanded cloud monitoring proposition.
Enter the Cloudy One.
To tell the story, we created a memorable character, an archetypal tech guru who had a lot of time on his hands thanks to Splunk’s observability and monitoring solutions. The Cloudy One, and his diligent employees, showed us just how fast and easy cloud monitoring can be.
We started with an intro to Splunk Cloud Monitoring.
We kept the fun going with an engaging explainer about Splunk Observability.
This campaign was part of a ‘responsive’ ABM program, targeting 200 accounts. Responsive because we were marketing, listening, and then following up with those accounts that showed intent. We started with targeted display ads for air cover and demand generation.




When people at target accounts showed intent (by searching target keywords like “cloud monitoring” or reading articles on target topics), we responded with long form content customized to that account. These included modular ebooks, infographics and interactive experiences, arming Splunk sales teams to win meetings and close deals.
